Topher Holt has been professionally trained as a comedian, dancer, mime and singer/songwriter. He was a principal company member of PUSH Physical Theatre, and has been a teaching artist for over 20 years.

Note: all shows listed can be used adjusted for Special Needs audiences and students.

The Game Changers: A celebration of Black History
Meets Social Emotional needs and explores mindfulness and resilience. Topher will take the audience on a journey from the slave plantations through the civil rights movement. They will venture on the underground railroad as they sing "Follow the Drinking Gourd". The show will culminate with the song “Change Begins With Me” as the audience remembers men and women in our country of great courage. The audience will help write a verse of their own as they add their own heroes who changed our world.

Meets Social Emotional needs, and Early Childhood, Music, Theatre & Character Education needs. Enjoy interactive storytelling, dance and drumming while experiencing the story that teaches self-esteem, self-confidence and a celebration of individuality.

(Grades Pre-K - 3) 45 minutes

We Love You Dr. Seuss! Readers are Leaders!
Meets Early Childhood, Music, Theatre & Character Education needs: What better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday month than by singing, dancing and reading in rhyme. The audience will sing in chorus “Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss”, and be invited into a percussive musical movement in the song “Dig Into Reading”. They’ll also find themselve joyfully chanting “Readers are Leaders” to the beat of a hand drum. This program is certain to inspire the reader in everyone.

(Grades K - 5) 45 minutes

Including You!
Topher and the kids will discuss the concepts of inclusion and diversity while sampling sounds of different instruments and rhythms. The audience will be divided into three groups. Each group will play along to a recorded beat assigned to them. Then we will put all three beats together. Topher will perform the song "Including You".

Healthy Heroes! Red Ribbon Week
This highly interactive program will take your children on a journey through story and song. Together you will explore many of the healthy choices superheroes make. Healthy diet, exercise, mindfulness and living a drug free life are some of the concepts covered. To tie it all together, participants will be sure to enjoy singing the healthy heroes song.

Crafted to meet Early Childhood, Music, ELA, Math, Theatre & Character Education needs: One of Topher’s unique skills is the ability to custom create or co-create a program specific to the needs of your school or individual classroom. Not only is this a fantastic way to meet your unique situation, it is also a very rewarding and positive experience for educators as well as students.
